Quilt Connection Guild

For those who want to do some hand sewing, come to the Greenwood United Methodist Church at 6:00 pm.  Bring your project and join your friends!

Winners of previous blocks have mentioned that they would like to know the names of the people who have made the blocks.  Therefore, please attach a piece of paper with your name to the back of the block.  Thanks.

Scroll down to see directions for a 6″ finished block (6 1/2″ for unfinished).  Please use white as the background and a rainbow color for the “x”.

Block of the Month

This month’s block is for Autumn.  See below for the directions.

The President’s Block for Ann Ward.

It is based on a block from Modern Monday.  It is a wonky 6″ finished square.  The Modern Monday site:  http://www.42quilts.com/2011/09/modern-monday-block-1.html shows directions for the quilt.  At the top it is assuming that you are making an entire quilt.  Scroll down for directions on how to make the square.

However, all you need is some white fabric for the background and bright rainbow colors batiks for the “X”.   The white fabric replaces the gray and the batik replaces the orange.
